Discover the vision behind Alaska’s Week of Dreams and learn how you can get involved in celebrating America250 and Alaska’s historic place in The National Pastime!

Join the Mountain View Library and America250-Alaska as we kick off Alaska’s Week of Dreams—a statewide, week-long summer celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday.

This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

The Line Up
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Pregame Warm Up: Enjoy cookies & coffee, explore the new AKBaseball250 exhibit, and engage with local sports organizations.
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Welcoming & Speaker Presentations: Hear inspiring presentations that celebrate Alaska’s role in America’s past, present, and future:
o Olga Zacharof – Aleut Community of Saint Paul Island, “The Incredible Story of Alaska’s Oldest Team: The Knock Down and Skin ’Em Club”
o Jamar Hill – RBI Alaska, “Baseball for the Future: Mountain View”
o Dr. Katherine Ringsmuth – Alaska State Historian, “Alaska’s Fields of Dreamers: America’s Pastime in the Far North”
