Alaska’s Week of Dreams
Play ball! America250-Alaska invites Alaskans to commemorate the United States’ 250th birthday during an exciting Week of Dreams. Events are planned for Alaskans to get involved during this Semiquincentennial year, with a focus on celebrating Alaska’s historic place in The National Pastime around the anniversary of Independence Day:
• June 27: PLAY BALL! youth clinic in Anchorage: Hosted by Major League Baseball and RBI Alaska
• June 27: Week of Dreams Opening Ceremonies at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage
• June 27: Bucs vs. Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage: The cross-town Alaska Baseball League rivalry continues with Week of Dreams festivities and America250 celebrations
• June 25 – June 28: American Legion Alaska 529 Tournament at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage: Some of Alaska’s top teams take on outside competition in this annual tournament
• June 30: Celebrity Golf Tournament at Moose Run Golf Course: A fundraiser to benefit the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame Healthy Futures program and area Little Leagues
• July 3 10am-12pm: PLAY BALL! youth clinic at Growden Memorial Field in Fairbanks: Hosted by Major League Baseball and Alaska Goldpanners
• July 4: Week of Dreams Opening Ceremonies at Growden Memorial Field in Fairbanks
• July 4: Alaska Goldpanners game at Growden Memorial Field in Fairbanks: Watch the Goldpanners host a baseball game at the park famous worldwide for the Midnight Sun Baseball Game and America250-Alaska festivities
